Cuphead

Cuphead is a classic run-and-shoot game with a lot of boss fights. Inspired by cartoons from the 1930s, the visuals and sounds are painstakingly made using the same methods of the time, such as traditional hand-drawn cel animation, watercolour backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

Play as Cuphead or Mugman in single-player mode or with a friend in the same room. Explore strange worlds, get new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and find hidden secrets as you try to pay back your debt to the devil.

TIPS & TRICKS

YOU WILL DIE
You will die from Cuphead. That's certain. The trick is to think of every death here as less, not as a failure. You will die for a reason, but each time you fail, you will learn something and get better. Don't move.

LEARN TO CLASSIFICATION
In Cuphead, parrying is a good way to defend yourself, but it also fills up your special power metre. Any attack that has a neon pink glow can be thrown out. All you have to do is jump into the pink square and press jump again. If you time the second jump right, you'll make a good throw.

FIRST THINK
You can find a safe place to wait for the boss to come out at certain points in its attack pattern. Instead of jumping around and trying to shoot at the same time, think about where you need to go next, go there, and volley.

CHANGING THE CONTROLS
Most games have controls that are easy to use and were made with that in mind by the people who made them. Many people find it easier to play Cuphead if they switch things up so that the fire button is on the trigger instead of the face button. This makes it easy to jump and shoot at the same time.

BY RUN AND GUN LEVEL
You don't have to do these levels, but if you do, you could make more money. More money means better guns and skills. Just do it, all right?

Controls Guide

To play Cuphead, all you have to do is hook up two controllers, load the game, and press any button on the second controller to make the Mugman appear. You can also play with the keyboard and a controller, though sometimes you have to disconnect the controller in the menu for it to work.
